DESIGN EXPERIENCE

After 14 years as a Nike employee in various design roles — I moved into the freelance gig economy to achieve life/work balance. During these past 12 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on various residential and commercial projects with private clients, large companies and local agencies. My belief is that good design = better living.

Post COVID, another recalibration is happening. This one has me moving into creating more art and focusing my design skills on two rooms I love to obsess over - the kitchen and the bathroom. They are similar to 1000 piece puzzles - complicated in their uniqueness nestling each piece into the next. I seek to solve this puzzle of functionality while appearing simple and beautiful in their day-to-day living.

Lois has over 25 years of experience working in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams across retail, branded environments, workplaces and personal spaces. These environments have enabled her to utilize her unique pairing of degrees in interior design and architecture. With the belief that everything begins with the experience and journey, she engages with clients to understand their personality and particular needs. This process has proven effective for the creation of unique spaces that tell a story through meticulous design and detail. Collaborating with builders and local crafts people, the spaces Lois produces are both beautiful and functional in design.
